Re: Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

TThe suggesetion to call the police - what an absolute waste of police time - its NOT a police matter and no-wonder we havent enough police to stop these stabbings if you involve them over a dog.  I can completely understand your neighbour disliking yappy dogs, no matter the reason - and I didnt kno...

Re: How to split inheritance?

Its pointless speculating about what to do - the Will will state what to do. The only way it can be changed is to do a Deed of Variation and you will have to agree this if the amount you are going to get is less (or more) than what the will says. If the money goes to you both (not your children) you...

Re: Do we need a bath in our house ?!

many thanks for all your replies - ask my children ! Wow - that would set off a discussion ! But I do remember my son-in-law hating to admit he had tried a shower with his baby when he was 6 months or so and being horrified as he was so slippery they nearly had an accident ! Hence asking the question.

Do we need a bath in our house ?!

Hello everyone - could I please ask advice of the vast number of superb Mum's, Dad's, Grannies, helpers, nannies, au-pairs etc that read Nappy Valley. I am a golden oldie and, having read this link please please take my advice and make sure you keep your NI contributions up-to-date. If you don't you will need to pay later out of taxed income. We were advised by a well-known accounting firm on the 80's when we ran out own small companies not to tak...

Re: House Renovation - any advice / recommendations?

NEVER EVER USE A ALL-IN-ONE COMPANY - they cut corners in order to make a profit right from the start, and as we have exact experience (more later when I will name them). We HAD to approve a design before they would do building regs and engineers drawings, and now the engineers insist on beams every...

Re: Side return extension companies

Yes but Plus Rooms are just another package dealer with all the design up front. The point is you need to 1. Think about what you want - your wants/needs 2. Get an expert to see if it will work in CONJUNCTION with an Architect (good for spacial design) AND and engineer (will it stand up, where will ...

Re: Side return extension companies

Yes - I agree with belld WE have started down a package route to get the design, engineering & building regs done. Disaster. They want to finish the design before even talking to the engineer - so no options available. I dont even know if they let us talk to the engineer. Also...The building reg...
