Re: Friend has had hairdresser to her house. Is mobile hairdressing allowed?

With children, I couldn't more strongly advise getting a home hairdresser - it saves so much time, especially if you have 2 or more children. The boys love having their hair cut in the Summer in the garden! When hairdressers open again there is obviously going to be a massive rush, so if your lookin...

Re: Police descend on Wandsworth Common last (Saturday) night

Great news, as we can all see, there are lots of police officers now in Wandsworth.

So, WHY don't we ever see them on the streets, a presence to help cut the recent crime sprees of stolen bikes, cars and knife crimes ?

Unless bunch

Re: Thousands sign petition to stop commercial pitches near Tooting Common playground

I think this is a great idea Wandsworth council - we have lots of Common space and not enough pitches.

Re: Back to school?

I agree  SW11er We feel need to now change this hysterical fear about this Virus. Deaths happen every day, we will all die obviously, but the chances of dying from Covid is slim especially for under 60's. If you look at section 5 of the ONS link below, you will find that the chance of a child, teach...

Re: Important update on parking enforcement in Wandsworth

This is a joke and those at the Council should be ashamed of yourselves - an email message from TFL today says people will soon be going back to work in greater numbers and TFL wants as few as possible to use public transport if possible. Also, with many of us being furloughed or made redundant, the...

Re: Greedy Owners Discount (Or Lack Of) for Private School

Hornsby is actually only 20% according to friends that are there.

It looks to me that the Heads could have all got together and agreed on this figure - for the service they provide, 40% would have been a fairer figure (and Reception should be free, its pointless)

Re: Coronavirus Supermarket Etiquette???

The testing was originally done on 1m, most continental countries are 1.5m

Outside especially, transmission is negligible  so I wouldn't worry too much

Re: Any recommediations for double glazing windows? Other than Ayrton and PP Glass?

Whatever you do, don't use Wandsworth Sash windows - my windows were all made wrong, drafts and they are falling apart after a few years of being installed

Re: School fees for next term

Yes good question Chorister ( However language like ‘staggered’ is quite aggressive and I won’t be intimidate by that sort of posting.) Like others I am sure, our wages have now been cut substantially  To take away this sort of % of your income, when many parents make big sacrifices to afford the (a...

Re: School fees for next term

Some good points daisy daisy However, when parents sign up for a ‘product’, they expect that product - this terrible situation changes that product significantly. Many parents are taking significant pay cuts (especially for us self employed) or losing their jobs. I can’t see anything from the privat...

Re: School fees for next term

We will be withholding fees for our private school, home schooling does not what works for children and we have lost an income for the family.

After todays home schooling, it just won't work and I would rather get a private tutor in (if that works with corona rules)
