Re: Best ways to get cheap London Eye & Dungeons tickets?

I think the London Dungeon is hugely over-hyped, there are a million better things to do in London. For views, skip the London Eye and go up to the Sky Garden (free but book a slot), or St Paul’s (paid but you get a whole Cathedral and an exciting climb included). If the weather is nice, the best wa...

Re: Tattoos which are least worst for middle aged man?

Maybe just count yourself lucky that this is a very harmless way to have a midlife crisis?

And it all sounds a bit controlling — it’s his body, and other than looking like a tw*t it really does no harm to anybody.

Table Tennis Classes

Hello

My kids are keen table tennis (ping pong) players, but I've been unable to find any local clubs or classes where they can go and play, as well as be coached.

Any suggestions or ideas?

Thanks.

Re: Mad at cricket

Surely you should just speak to them?

7.15am doesn't seem crazy early though, and living in a busy city like ours comes with lots of noise and disturbances -- it's not a sleepy village after all.

Re: Au Pair wanted immediately for little boy 5 months

An au pair may not be suitable for such a young child, especially not as a sole charge. You may need more experienced help.

Just outside SW18, but Fledglings on the Common, off Chivalry Road, is great: https://thrive.wandsworth.gov.uk/kb5/wa ... uY0ZxRXaiE

Re: Removal Company to Avoid (like the plague) BRISK REMOVALS

Sounds awful but frankly I was amazed at the cheapness of the move . Whilst I don’t know how big your house was , less than £3000 to move sounds outrageously cheap. I moved from a big 3000 ft house last year and paid over £8000. I think you get what you pay for . Sorry. This is entirely untrue. We ...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

Would be a shame to see Warrens close, but it never seemed busy. Also closing is Bill’s, with an odd note in the window saying they received an offer that was “too good to refuse”, basically. Already closed is the Scottish Malt Whiskey Society, didn’t last long. Looks like restaurants in particular ...

Re: Spam on Nappy Valley

To me it looks like the site is being abused by SEO (search engine optimization) companies, as they invariably post links to external sites in order to boost their ranking with search engines. One way to eliminate this problem would be to restrict the ability to post links -- for example, you could ...

Spam on Nappy Valley

There seems to be a lot of spam here recently — posts with dodgy links etc.

Any plans to tackle this, as it makes the site a lot less useful than it used to be.

Thanks.

Not on Northcote Road, but Blacks on St John's Road is closing down. I always found it useful, sorry to see it go.

Re: Elderly father to move in?

Have you considered sheltered housing? Speak to Wandsworth Council, they have several locations: http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/info/20036 ... ed_housing

It will allow him to live nearby, but as independently as he can be.

Re: Work about to start on £165k revamp for Wandsworth Common playground

I was hoping that for £165,000 they would also be able to renew the grassy bits, which are in desperate need of some attention.
