Re: IVF/ICSI: Which Hospital?

Chuka What a horrible post! And how totally irrelevant to the question. Why on earth should that article make any difference to what JenM does? Jen Chelsea and Westminster assisted conception unit has great results My main criticism of them was being a bit ‘one plan fits all’ in their approach, but ...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

I think the fish van is excellent in terms of quality and price You definitely wouldn’t get close to the freshness from a supermarket so that makes them great value for money But if you want multipacks of farmed salmon fillets, it’s obviously going to be cheaper in a supermarket I had some wonderful...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

Tinc, the stationery and toy shop near the antiques market is closing in a few weeks They have blamed their landlord hiking their rent, surprise surprise... The inflated rent would have apparently made the shop more expensive than their branches in Fulham and Wimbledon, and they couldn’t justify it ...

Re: Neal's Lodge - Private Enterprise or Community Asset?

“They have been struggling to fill "Private" places, whilst the queue for Council school places increases - affordability is effecting everyone.” What are ‘council school places”? And that statement is just plain untrue. The waiting list of a space at any nursery in the area is months long And if af...

Re: Neal's Lodge - Private Enterprise or Community Asset?

I’m not sure where you get the idea from that there is no need for private nursery spaces in the area Clearly you aren’t a parent of young children, or else you could know the waiting lists for nursery spaces is months long Working parents are having to put their names down for spaces when their bab...

Re: Neal's Lodge - Private Enterprise or Community Asset?

I remember this at the time... I believe a judicial review was brought by the sour grapes person behind the failed (and idiotic) attempt to launch some sort of local youth hostel at the site, which had zero local support and was a totally ridiculous and un-needed When their plan was rejected, they d...

Re: C&W Glucose Test... help!!!

Yes the test has changed now because the new Lucozade doesn’t have enough sugar in it. So you have to buy a pack of Dextrose energy tablets from the chemist and eat them a couple of hours before you go in for your appointment Phone the midwives office (number on the front of your notes) to check the...

Re: Paying for childcare cash in hand - what's the view?

And I'd love to know from AbbevilleMummy why on earth she thinks I as a taxpayer should contribute to the cost of her nanny by making it tax deductible. Because other forms of staff are tax deductible - drivers, PAs etc It is often pointed out that there is an inherent sexism in a system which make...

Re: Before you do IVF Must read!!!!

Have I honestly just read you saying you encourage people to delay cancer treatment in order to try your nonsense first? And that you think cancer is something people bring on themselves? You sound totally dangerous and unhinged, and I hope no one takes you ‘services’ seriously, lest their endanger ...

Re: Help - I've never hosted a dinner party!

I think the key is to prepare as much as possible in advance, so you aren't locked away in the kitchen all night. I always try and make the starter and pud in advance - something like a terrine for a starter, and chocolate torte for pudding. Both can be made the day before... And for a main course, ...

Re: Anyone has Hashimoto or Cushing Syndrome?

If your blood test was clear for Hashimotos antibodies, you don't have Hashimotos... You could still have a thyroid issue, but it will have a different cause It would be worth asking to see the actual levels, because some people can be symptomatic at lower ranges than the typical NHS range For examp...

Re: Anyone has Hashimoto or Cushing Syndrome?

I have Hashimoto’s It was diagnosed by a blood test which showed my TSH was out of range and also showed I had the Hashi antibodies All the GP can do is put you onto Levothyroxine as there is no ‘cure’ as such for Hashimotos However, I took myself to see a specialist Endocrinologist to find out more...

There is more info in the FAQs: "Our experienced coaches will be looking for all fundamentals needed for an entry level to a competitive swimming. The coaches will not assess the speed but will look for technically competent swimmers who have the ability to swim for 60 minutes n in a Leander trainin...
