Re: Alcoholic mother in law for Xmas

If she doesn’t go away, then why don’t you?

Life is too short to ruin Christmas with difficult relatives

Re: Separated and going on holiday?

It probably depends why you split. If he has had an affair and is going to spend the entire time messaging his mistress, I can’t imagine it would do your mental health any good. If it’s an amicable mutual split, it will probably be easier to deal with. Can you at least get separate rooms so the chil...

Re: Private scan

‘Chelsea/Battersea area’? The website says the address is Queenstown road - ie very much Battersea, but calls it ‘the Chelsea clinic’ ie a complete lie to make it sound fancy. And this is your first post. Are you connected with the clinic? The Women’s Wellness Clinic on Fulham Road opposite C&W (ie ...

Re: Norland nanny or NQN

It’s the wrong time of year for a NQN, and they all organise work through Norland (who charge a placement fee) so its best to contact them directly

Re: Private consultant recommendations - Guys / Lansdell

You can’t pre-book a room on the Kensington wing if you’re giving birth in the NHS ward, but if you’ve had an NHS birth, you can ask after the birth if they have any Kensington rooms available and then pay your £1500 a night for them But obviously the priority goes to Kensington wing patients so the...

Re: Noise related to South West Four (SW4) festival

Agreed. It was one weekend, and other than the tubes being busy, it was hardly an imposition. Our children had a little dance to the music while we were walking on the common, and we had a glass of wine in the garden listening to the music and remembering when we were young enough to go to festivals!

Re: Daughter invited away but family flying bus class

How old is your daughter?
It may not be as simple as just booking her an economy seat on her own if she is then counted as an unaccompanied minor

Re: Sign-up for Clapham Common Bowling Green League 2020

Why is a putting green tacky? The one in Battersea park is wonderful. Used by old and young, in keeping with the surroundings and busy all year round, with a wonderful daytime cafe Bowling greens are closing because they aren’t of interest to people any more. They shouldn’t be preserved as museum pi...

Re: Birthday parties in Battersea Park - bookings now open

My guess is that it is the bowling green near to the bandstand It’s been out of action for a few years but there appeared to be a wedding being set up when we walked past a few weeks ago I don’t know what facilities the pavilion has inside but it could potentially make a lovely spot for a wedding or...

Re: Recommendation Needed: TTC, Over 40, Low AMH

Another recommendation for ARGC although they do have criteria for which patients they will take on

We also had positive experiences at Create, which specialises in low AMH
