Re: Anyone tried Ozempic

I think it's worth adding that significant weight loss even without drugs aiding it can lead to gall stones (and associated hospitalising risks like Pancreatitis).

Source: Wife who had to have her gall bladder out last month after losing lots of weight without Ozempic/Mounjaro.

Re: private chef

I've been a long time user of Fresh Fitness Food which delivers daily and runs to about £7/£8 a meal I think last time I worked it out.

Some more range could certainly be interesting - does it work out more or less expensive than that? 😅

Re: Anyone tried Ozempic

Wow that certainly sounds unusual. Out of interest what dosage(s) were you on in that time?

Re: Anyone tried Ozempic

I've been a user of these for years. First Ozempic and now Mounjaro. Ozempic isn't what you'd get for weight loss now, it's Wegovy. Ozempic has somehow stuck in the press but is the diabetic product. It's exactly the same stuff as Wegovy but Wegovy comes in different dosages optimised for weight los...

Re: Husband won't wear helmet on electric bike

Yes this ^ I don't wear a helmet if I'm taking a lime bike to the local Sainsbury's because I barely get up to full speed. But if I was doing the 40 minute cycle to work where I do get a good clip going I would. I've fallen off only once during the commute in my life and while I didn't land on my he...

Re: Smart home

I'd love to give some advice here, how smart are we going? Pick all that apply to your dreams: Doorbells? Cameras? Keyless front door locks? Smart light bulbs? Smart speakers/question answerers (in every room?)? And how important is sound quality i.e. should they be super great speakers for music or...

Re: Stone or wood for patio

I think I've probably got the "older grooved" wood decking referred to above but if I could have changed the decision I would have. It takes a bit of yearly maintenance (oiling/staining) that of course requires moving any furniture - and I like to cut down on compulsory maintenance where I...

Re: Christmas tipping - it won’t be my postman this year

What's the practicality of tipping postmen and binmen? Do you watch out the curtain until they appear?

I think the binmen come while I'm still in bed and the postman swoops in while I'm at work - they'd be hard to catch for tipping.

Re: Are Ring doorbells the best option?

I'm very happy with mine. There's a few things you might like to consider but that ultimately made no difference to me: - Have you got power to your doorbell area? They do a battery powered model that I have. It was too much cost for me to get power to our front door. I bought a second battery so it...

Re: Do parents locally pay uni fees or do students take loans?

Meh, I think the people not having their kids take the loans are fools. It's a relatively cheap (in terms of APR) and very available loan facility and the money you'd spend on not having a loan could be working better for you in the mean time. Putting the money you'd spend on not having a loan aside...

Re: Keyless entry Front door suppliers

I've had a Yale keyless (different to another model they do called keyfree) lock for years and love it. It fits to any front door that has a standard daylatch/nightlatch on the back, likely even compatible with your existing latch. So you may not even need a specialist keyless supplier. I just bough...

Re: Dont want to invite unvaccinated friends to a party

Largely agree with people like Jones1968. I have a similar dilemma in that both of my parents are unvaccinated because they bought into some propaganda that I can't shake from them. I'm having an engagement party in a few months and I don't know whether to tell them they can't come or not. Not becau...

Re: Cohabitation Agreements

Hey Lenaleii! It's a related but not exact answer to your question. I've recently been through exactly this, my SO moving into a house that I own. I also went down the route of looking for some kind of agreement to protect my property because I'd heard things about 'common law marriage' and how they...

Re: Business Accountant/Personal tax consultant - seeking recommendations

Similar story for me, I use Crunch for about £100/mo A support team who turn around your requests by email within a business day and give you a yearly review phone call of your accounting practices. Also their online system is better/very similar to freeagent and if you're happy entering everything ...
