Re: Spices for SW London?

Try Bulk Foods on Battersea Rise near St John’s Road. You can buy spices etc by weight - they are an excellent local shop well worth supporting. And their fudge is so good and addictive that there should probably be a law banning it!!

Re: Fixed penalty notice for recycling bag that was blown onto the street

Re: Boots Clapham High Street robbery - video

@missraphaella - there is no magic money tree.  We can have as much or as little security, policing, healthcare and other public services as we are willing to pay for.  The fact is that every time we have an election we refuse to vote for the tax rises needed to provide more resources for the common...

Re: Boots Clapham High Street robbery - video

Why should staff, probably paid the minimum wage because we want to buy everything as cheaply as possible, risk being knifed to protect someone else’s property?

Re: Mouse Hole Carbon Monoxide Incident

It is inconceivable that the H&S executive will not have checked whether the school's carbon monoxide detector was functioning correctly.  I haven't of course seen all the correspondence but it looks to me as if they are simply telling you politely that there isn't an H&S issue - if you have...

Re: Mouse Hole Carbon Monoxide Incident

I'm not in any way involved in or connected to this, but I can tell you the HSE is very thorough.  Especially with children involved if they felt that there was an ongoing risk they would have closed the place; if they felt that they had been deliberately misled they would have prosecuted.  I sugges...

Marks & Spencer Clapham South

Does anyone know what is going on with M&S at Clapham South? They no longer seem to be a destination for online collections and returns.

Re: Summer Vacation in Rome

If you are in Rome make sure you see the Pantheon - still the biggest free-standing concrete dome in the world dedicated to Pan Theos - all the Gods - oh how we could use that today - and the frescos from Livia’s villa - check them out online. Livia was the wife of Augustus and the most powerful wom...

If you are both going to benefit from the rent then why would you want to be dishonest about the position?
