Re: dreading xmas because of my mean sister in law

Very, very difficult. Try talking to your husband - whatever anyone else may or may not do you are entitled to expect him to take your side. Good luck, and if the worst comes worst take comfort from your children enjoying it. Good luck.

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

And one person hasn’t answered the question as to why 35 million people turning out to vote in a second referendum would not be democratic. After all if they thought it was a dangerous precedent etc they could stay at home. Sit quietly with a drink and channel David Davis ... “if a democracy cannot ...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

The reason the country has been in limbo is quite simple and has nothing to do with Remainiacs or whatever other epithet you choose to use - it is simply because Brexiters ie the ERG wouldn't vote to leave because the deal on offer, which would have taken us out of the EU, wasn't pure enough for the...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

...... to even suggest holding a second Referendum, is in my view about as undemocratic as it comes and I really really hope that most voters have higher moral standards. I didn't bother to plough through the original post, but I do find it really odd why anyone thinks that checking whether people ...

Re: Labour frontbencher Marsha De Cordova omits Jeremy Corbyn from her campaign

And Conservative Kim Caddy manages not to mention either Brexit or the self serving blond philanderer on her leaflets!

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

Don’t sleep walk into this awful scenario. Corbyn is for the many, not the Jew. Corbyn can't form a majority government - look at the numbers (sorry if facts are confusing).  If Labour is the largest party then the overwhelmingly likely outcome is that he is replaced as the price of support from th...

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

Another factor is that the arithmetic makes it almost impossible for Labour, under Corbyn or anyone else, to form a majority government unless the SNP melts down in Scotland.  So if it's not the Tories then the likely outcome is a hung parliament and a minority Labour government kept in office by th...

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

Err ...... wasn't the 3 day week under the Conservative government of Edward Heath, during whose tenure I think inflation peaked too.  And it was also during his time in government that interest rates started to rocket.

Time for a re-think?

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

How depressing that people are prepared to be represented by a self serving charlatan who is a proven liar.

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

Actually Jane Ellison was a Remainer who decided that she had to respect the referendum result.

Re: Solicitors for property advice - to get tenant out at end of term

Gregsons Solicitors in Wimbledon https://www.gregsons.co.uk/ - for something like this speak to the litigation partner Alexandra Adam, though she may refer you on to their property specialist Mike Jones.

Hope that helps.

Re: Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

Given that you have done all of that, I really think you have to try to engineer a meeting.  Are there other issues with the neighbours?  Have you just got the dog?  Unless they are complete pyschopaths it seems very unlikely that they would deliberately try to harm your dog unless they really are c...

Re: Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

The only possible solution is to speak to your neighbour - may be text, and ask them round for a drink, acknowledging that they do have a legitimate grievance. Did you try to meet them after their text?  If not, why not - is it only when you have a complaint that it merits a meeting?  If they are no...

We have ancient (over 40 years - we don't even knwo the brand!) but entirely satisfactory double glazing that needs a bit of TLC because the plastic runners on which the glazing units run have finally given up the ghost.  Does anyone know a window repair soecialist who might be able to help?  Thanks...

Re: Recommendation for will writer

We used Samir Hussain at Gregsons https://www.gregsons.co.uk/team/samir-hussain/ and found him very good and helpful, and also very patient when we changed our minds.  Not sure if he would do it on the phone - you would have to ask.  Hope that helps.
