Mattress toppers - any recommendations?

Can anyone tell me where they buy matress toppers from?

They vary hugely in price from John Lewis to other cheaper brands but it doesn't seem to make any difference to how long they last in my house. I am always picking feather up from the floor :?

Any fab funds much appreciated!

Thanks!

Slightly odd question to be asking mid summer but has anyone ever installed skirting board heaters and if you have please can you tell me if (1) they look ok and not too deep and (2) do they throw off enough heat?  We need some extra heat in our kitchen and don't want to have to re do the flooring t...

new pet grooming stdio on Hildreth Street

Morning!

Just wondering if anyone knows when the new pet grooming studio is opening on Hildreth Street - I think it is where Flower Sanctuary used to be.

Need an appt and this would be very convenient.

Lessar Avenue corrosive substance attack.

Does anyone know any more about what happened last night on Lessar Avenue? What a horrific situation and involving children as well. Hope that everyone is getting great medical help and recovers well.

What are you planning for your elderly parents in terms of care? spending a lot of time dwelling with no solution

Hope that everyone is enjoying this glorious sunshine. Not a direct question but something that is increasingly occupying a lot of my thinking time but I don't seem to be arriving at a solution.  How are other families coping or planning for their elderly getting more elderly. My husband and I are l...

Re: Bus links to Wimbledon High

From BTC your daughter would probably get the train from CJ. Plenty of girls on the platform every day with Wimbledon High uniforms. She would find her travel companions very quickly I would think.

Re: how do i find out which phone coverage is best in a particular area of England

I am also interested in this but I have just tried the suggested site for the address I need it for and it comes with great coverage for everything but I have NO EE coverage in the necessary spot. Is there any other site that you know of? You can use network's own sites but they obviously show amazi...

Re: What to do with candle wax?

Hi Chorister, using it to sort a sticky drawer is something that I have used candle wax for but your post made curious and I googled  :D   Create your very own, brand new candle! Lubricate a sticky drawer or squeaky door hinge. Get a fire going. Infuse your home with the final lingering scents. Use ...

Local caterer for a dinner party

Would like to throw a surprise dinner party for around 20 people for my husband's birthday. I am hoping to ask someone to do the catering so that I can enjoy it too. Not looking for anything overly fussy but having never done this before I would love to get a recommendation and if possible a price p...

Re: Would you take school fees from a parent on the basis that they will be heavily involved in the whole process

I am not sure I would run from the opportunity to have fees paid so quickly. Maybe it is a case of agreeing in advance how and when your FIL will get involved ahead of taking his money.

Re: Legal advice re giving a term's notice at school

I am so sorry for this very stressful situation. I hope that your daughter is doing well. I agree with the above poster. School won't want this discussed any more than it needs to be. In addition I cannot believe that any school would not want to show financial compassion given everything your daugh...

Re: good off the shelf jewellery cleaner?

I buy something called  Town Talk from John Lewis. A pot of liquid solution with a little basket inside to hold the jewellery whilst its being cleaned. My pieces have always come up looking pretty shiny. There are different ones for gold, silver and stones. Hassle fee and very inexpensive but trust ...
