One has a loose handle, the other a problem with the base, the bottom of the pan is pulling away from the sides. Both were wedding gifts and part of a bigger set so I would love to keep them if I can. They a...

Yellow Stone - is it worth it?

Strange question but I have heard a few friends say that they love this. I've never delved, and wanted to know what others think as it is so long and I know what I am like once I get started on these series. Don't want to lose myself in average if its not really worth it.

Re: Invisalighn or fixed braces, advice please.

Thanks so much for the reply Reb27. Just trying to fix some movement, I think that they are starting to look a bit crooked and I feel that this is ageing. Thought that I would try to fix before it got too serious.

Becoming a bit obsessed with my teeth and wondering whether to get braces.  If I go ahead I think that I would prefer to get the clear Invisalign style but wondering if they work as well or as quickly as train tracks? If anyone has had invisalign please could they let me know if they did the trick a...

Ad hoc childcare company but for dogs not children!

Does anything like ad hoc childcare exist for dogs? I know that there are lots of walking and boarding companies but I am keen to find a company that I might be able to book at short notice for an hour or two if I have to go to a meeting or will be back from a meeting later than planned. Some neighb...

Big Green Egg - are they worth it?

Contemplating geting a 'Big Green Egg' v a traditional bbq. Love the name  ;)  and the look of them but but they aren't cheap.
Wondering if anyone who has bought one thinks that they are worth the money, we would probably go for a large or an extra large for social events?

Regualr gardener for a small garden

Does anyone use a regular gardener? We have fake grass but the beds and plants are very overgrown and I think that getting someone to come every other month might be very helpful. Don't need anyone who exhibits at The Chelsea Flower Show but someone reliable would be most welcome!

Re: Dog attack on young children in Battersea Park

I run early morning, 6.30am with a friend once a week and have seen a couple of these dogs without muzzles. I'm assuming that their owners think because it is so early its not a problem but clearly it can be.

Pocket money for 5 year olds?

Can anyone give me a steer on how much pocket money a 5 year old should be getting and if you attach it to small jobs or if it just a weekly 'gift' to get them used to saving??  We haven't done anything yet but after a few play dates I have realised that others do and I think that I would like to st...

Thai takeaway suggestions

Can anyone suggest a good thai takeaway? I have been using Rosas and I do like it on the whole but the one we had last week seemed a bit synthetic. There are a couple  of good thai restaurants in Wimbledon just not sure if it will be cold by the time it gets to SW11. Any suggestions much appreciated!

Youngest age for panto?

We will be a blended party from 2 years to seventy! My husband wants to book panto but there will be 4 children under 5 yrs old in the party. I'm thinking that this is too young?
