Re: Good value therapist in Clapham

Hi Claphammama   Its not clear from your post whether you are looking for support for yourself or someone else and I'm also wondering if by 'good value' do you mean affordable?  A couple of resources that might be useful...  Cedar House - Pre-pandemic they ran free support groups in Balham with crec...

Housesitting?

Hello! My super sensible niece (early 20’s) has just had her house share fall through. She is full time employed but on a shoe string so if anyone had a house sitting/cat feeding position for the summer she would be ideal for it. My number is 07900 576390. Please contact me directly if you might kno...

Re: Colette closing on Northcote Road

I’m sad to see any any shop on northcote sit empty but agree their prices were very high and there are already a number of deli/coffee shops serving the locality. It would be great if COOK took it over, I miss the days of The Yard and Dandelion where you could pick up a simple supper on the way home!

Re: Weekend pedestrianisation of Northcote Road will begin at Easter

Is there any scope to add some market stalls to the empty bit? There used to be all manner of little stalls selling everything from pyjamas, jewellery and tasty desserts on northcote. Wimbledon Village has a great little food market on the weekend and it doesn’t seem to detract from local business..

Re: Bursary denied - Independent school

I’m sorry you find yourself in this situation it must be very disappointing after all your hard work. However, I think we are lucky in this part of London to have some really excellent state choices. (Big, small, single sex, selective) You mentioned a specific pastoral need. I would research which s...

Local sports/music companies that take childcare vouchers

Hello!  Owing to changes in circumstances a number of years ago, we find ourselves with a surplus of CARE-4 childcare vouchers that we really need to use up.  Historically we’ve done activ-camp, arty party and stagecoach but with the kids nearing the teen years they are beginning to outgrow this thi...

Re: Wandsworth (11+) test

The Wandsworth Test is provisionally scheduled for 3 December in Wandsworth Schools.  Scores will be sent out in Jan 2021.   So yes, you will make the decision of which schools to apply for ‘blind’ however most parents struggle to come up with 6 schools due to distance etc so whilst you might see it...

Re: General Election - what do we think for Battersea?

I don't understand some of the previous comments.. if you don't want the 'blond buffoon' then don't vote for him.  If enough people got behind the Lib Dem movement it would happen.. in 1997 lots of folk who would never have previously dreamt of voting labour did so because the alternative was unpala...

Trinity Fields Fireworks 2019

Hi Guys  I apologise if this is covered else where, but my understanding is the consortium schools Trinity Field Firework display is to be held tomorrow night from 6-8.   From previous years I would imagine this means the bonfire is lit around 6 and the fireworks around 7.00.  Can someone confirm?  ...

Re: Postnatal counsellor/therapist in Balham

I am a qualified and experienced post natal counsellor and a registered member of the BACP. I’m based in SW11 but experience has taught me conventional counselling doesn’t always work with new mums so I’m happy to do home visits or ‘walk and talk’ on local commons to fit around babies needs. PM me i...
