King’s College School

Absolutely fantastic boys’ independent located on Wimbledon Common. In our experience KCS boys are polite, respectful, helpful and happy. The staff are down-to-earth and there are lots of social events for parents. Wonderful playing fields and the chance to learn a wide variety of sports, including fencing. The cricket and rugby teams tour all over the world. Impressive academic results – sends around 30 to 40 boys to Oxbridge, the rest to top unis and some to Ivy League colleges in the US. Some scholarships and bursaries available. Early application essential as the school takes two thirds of total pupils from its junior school. Admission is by Common Entrance exam (min 65% pass) but musical and sporting ability are considered a bonus. Ages 13-18.
