Is there a local tailor or service who will sew name tapes on school uniforms? Google isn’t turning up any good options.

Annoyingly the school’s shop usually does it, but their machine is out for repairs and they are unsure when it will be back.

Seems very ancient to faff with sewing labels.
I recommend printed stick on labels.
Wash well and never come off …

Your local dry cleaner should do this if you ask. Ours does it!

I used Lucy on 07545 563533, substantially cheaper than the dry cleaners and a great service.  She gets vvv busy at the end of August as you can imagine.

@Muddyboots—Sticky labels were our go to for primary school, but the new secondary school requires name tapes.

Iron on labels DO come off, sewing is much better and the labels can be reused. I’ve been sewing on labels for years for busy mothers so do contact me if I can help. I can do same day sewing, if necessary and am a lot cheaper than dry cleaners etc. Can also do minor repairs, button sewing on etc.
