What construction firms with project management can be recommended for a total refurbishment project?
Does anyone have experiences with Strongbase or Snowdon James?

Depending on what you are looking for I would recommend Foster Lomas Architects, and speak to Greg one of the directors there; fosterlomas.com or greg@fosterlomas.com they do full service architecture and also interior design.

Best piece of advice that we got when doing ours was to hire someone independent of the building contractor to project manage it. That way you have someone there managing it in your best interests, rather than someone who works for the main party that needs to be managed in the whole process!

We had someone from the outset who ran the tender and contracting process and then did some of the sourcing of materials and oversaw the build itself. It definitely helped to have someone with experience at the outset to make sure you get properly comparable quotes and that you’ve got a fair and enforceable contract in place.

Probably a few firms outlet there who offer the service but we used RunProjects who are based in Earlsfield.

I think you should have a look at Maro, their head office is on Northcote Road and they are very approachable.
We used them back in 2020 for a basement build, their experience was first class with the works being done on time and in budget.
They were organised and professional, taking the time to explain things and including us in decision making throughout the project
helping will all aspects from planning, design and construction.
We then used them again last year to do our top floor bedrooms and they were always willing and able to pop by, if we had any queries, which was very helpful.
