Dog sitter required

Postby wandsworth womble » Sat Mar 08, 2025 12:40 pm

Hello

Can anyone recommend a dog sitter who might take in our (well trained) working cocker for a few days in July?

The sitter we normally use has pushed up her prices exorbitantly, c.50% in under 3 years, and so we’re loath to use her if we can.

Thanks

hi!

Have you tried Rover or Trusted Housesitters?

We have tried both for day sits and long-term sits, and found them incredibly useful and reasonable.
There is a vetting process in place and Trusted Housesitter does cover insurance as well, so we have used it to have someone live in our house during the times we are away!

Hope it all goes well!

Hi, we use Henny at Mad about Dogs London. Wouldn’t trust our cocker with anyone else! Our dog always comes home so happy after holidays with Hen!

Hello,

I know this is not very helpful, but if nearer the time, I am not working and therefore free, I am very happy to help though I am based in Battersea - bit far from Wimbledon?  I love dogs and look after dogs for my friends and neighbours.  It's as close to having a dog as I can get!  We are two adults working full time (except currently I am jobless just now) so feel we can't give our own dog the attention it needs.  We also have an 11 year old child.  I have friends and neighbours who can vouch for me.

If interested, please DM me and I can give you my number.

Hello,

I grew up with cats and have experience walking and boarding dogs for 15 years, 14 of which I was also a dog dad to a Cavapoo.

I have a pet first aid certication and am licensed by Wandworth Council to board dogs in my home.

I am a Dad to two girls and have lived in SW11 for 10 years.

I am available Monday - Saturday for dog walking, boarding, or day care. I prefer to meet dogs and owners in advance so we know that we can go over relevant information as well as read each others vibe and go from there.

As much as I throughly enjoy spending time with dogs, their wellbeing and your comfort and confidence in me is my priority. I provide photos and updates throughout my work so you are fully aware of what they are up to and how they are doing.

Many thanks,
Lawrence Pretto
