Educational Psychologist Recommendation

Postby Chantal2011 » Mon Mar 15, 2021 2:15 pm

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone could help with a personal recommendation for an EP...

My daughter, 7, is bright and bubbly, and I think may be experiencing some processing issues...she is increasingly becoming rather frustrated and her responses sometimes are very angry and upset, perhaps as a result of this frustration...I cannot quite put my finger on it, but I am very anxious to have an assessment. It’s very upsetting to see her in this way.

We live in Battersea...

Many thanks indeed...

Dr Batoul Darlby. She has a practice in Harley St and she was brilliant for my son. Her and a colleague spent 2 hours playing games with him and then spent an hour with us explaining the results.

Was the best money we ever spent. £750 last year

Hi - My son's school suggested he had some further investigation by an Educational Psychologist soon after entry at year 7.  I took a poll of my friends with experience and was recommended Carmel Durkin who works out of Children's Therapies (in Putney I think ).  She was great - she did the assessments at school which I felt would be less disruptive for my son but you can also do them at their site.  Very thorough (35 page report).  I'd recommend her.
Good Luck
