Lunch venue needed for Hubby's Bday

Postby moops » Thu Nov 12, 2009 5:28 pm

Hi

It's my Husbands birthday in a few weeks and I'm looking for a nice restaurant (not too expensive) to take him and his parents to who are in town. My 2 year old Son will alsi be coming so somewhere that does a good kids menu would be good too. Thanks!

Sorry yes, I was thinking of a Saturday lunch. He eats pretty much anything but his parents are from up North so nothing too 'out there' Plus my Son needs to be able to eat it as well....

I love Strada on Battersea Rise - really great with kids!

Have you been there before?

Giraffe is also good but can be too noisy...

Steam Bar & Restaurant on East Hill is delicious - I have a two year old (and Northern parents :) ) and it is perfect. There's a lovely big room at the back so a toddler isn't too couped up, the portions are generous & eveything was super tasty. Just a short walk to Wandsworth Common to walk it all off after.....

Enjoy!

My vote goes for Bellevue Rendezvous - on Trinity Road - used to be called Mini Mundus. Very child friendly (the owner couple have 2 children and 1 on the way) but unfortunately haven't got the space in the loos for changing tables and stuff, but I am sure that they would let you use their flat upstairs - they are those sorts of people: fantastic! Food is simple French cuisine, very tasty and not too fussy. I could rave about this restaurant for ever and a day. We celebrated my husband's 40th there and I am taking my team there for our Christmas meal.

Fab fab fab

Hi everyone

Thanks for all your suggestions, we ended up going to Giraffe in Wimbledon as it is child friendly. We had a nice lunch and they even sang Happy Birthday to my Hubby and Son (their Birthdays are 3 days apart), he was mortified!

I will keep the other suggestions in mind as we are always looking for new places to try! x
