Charity for house linnens/house items

Postby cuqui03 » Wed Jun 27, 2018 9:20 am

Hello! Moving abroad and trying to limit what I take with ne. Anyone knows of a charity that will collect towels/bes linneds and household things? They are in good condition and used by the family just don’t need to take it all.
Thanks

I looked for ages for a place to take our stuff recently. No joy I’m afraid. No charity shop etc wanted it. Battersea Cats & Dogs a possibility but they never got back to me. In the end we got rid of it by posting an ad on gumtree asking someone to take it for free and the rest went here. https://www.icollectclothes.co.uk/contact-us. Not as good as the proceeds all going to charity but better than the lot ending up at the tip.

Ace of Clubs are often happy to take donations of towels, linen and small kitchen items. The towels can be used in the centre and other items given to people who are moving into their first place.

Also want to point out we have previously donated linens and pillows to Battersea Dogs and Cats home because the animals often need bedding.
