The family team at GBG Building Services is driven by a passion for bespoke high-end renovation and restoration of some of London’s finest architectural homes.

GBG Building Services Ltd was established in 2005 by Mariusz Gawecki, with his father Eric. During the past fifteen years of growth and building partnerships, they have gained experience in prime property construction and refurbishment, delivering projects for clients across London. The team brings its technical and project management expertise, as well as exemplary craftsmanship to every building project, bringing clients’ designs to life. Consisting of project managers, engineers and craftsmen, the team has over 30 years of experience.

As founder and director of GBG, Mariusz’s key role is building relationships and meeting new clients, as well as general company management. He is a qualified Construction Project Manager with over 15 years of hands-on experience, giving him the ability to run difficult projects smoothly through to completion working with the great team he has built around him.

Mariusz’s father, Eric, is an established site manager with over three decades working on prime properties in the most affluent areas of London. His main duties are running sites and leading other site managers within the company, and his specialities include interior fit-outs and refurbishments, antique furniture restoration, and electromechanics.

Reliability in construction is not an impossible goal and that is something Mariusz is keen to emphasise, “We deliver well-managed renovation projects with clean sites and efficient communication at all levels, within an agreed timeframe – all attributes which make GBG stand out from the crowd.”

By analysing site complexities, potential risks and delays, and with the requisite specialist skills to advise on buildability during the pre-construction phase, the company has a proven track record at managing the smooth running of even the most complicated of sites. In addition, they can adapt quickly to ever-changing build environments, keeping additional costs at a minimum and providing honest and realistic pricing from the outset.

Projects include a back-to-bricks renovation of a listed Georgian property in Hampstead, the amalgamation of two dated flats into one high-end luxury apartment, meticulously rebuilt in keeping with its elegant heritage with a 21st century finish. More recently in Wandsworth, GBG project managed the remodelling of the ground floor of a Victorian family home including bespoke joinery, working closely with an already appointed interior designer, with stunning results.
