Local Construction company, Greensheen who has their head office and showroom on Northcote Road has recently won two very prestigious awards for their stunning and recently completed project – The Old Sorting House:
The Old Sorting House, in Barnes, is a unique family home which was converted from an old Victorian postal warehouse and sorting rooms. The key to this conversion was to retain the sense of the buildings history and to accentuate the double height warehouse space.
Adding a mezzanine level to this space and a 5-meter tall, glazed arch opening onto the extended glass-enclosed dining area created modern insertions into the historic fabric of the building.
This is what has led this project to becoming a multi- award-winning project, winning the Sunday Times British Home Award in the category Best Interior Design and finalist in the category Home Transformation of the Year and at the UK Property Awards winning the Architecture Single Residence London.
