Re: More peopled voted for parties supporting a 2nd referendum, than voted for parties in favour of Brexit.

I find it highly offensive being told who to vote for, or if I chose a particular candidate or party, that I was "wrong".  Or somehow I'm ill-informed, naive or dim because I didn't follow the lead of the most vocal on SM.  I could give you a myriad of reasons why I voted a particular way but that p...

Re: More peopled voted for parties supporting a 2nd referendum, than voted for parties in favour of Brexit.

I was exactly in the same position as AbbevilleMummy.  I voted Remain but there was no way on Earth I would have voted for Corbyn's Labour party.  Apples aren't the only fruit, Brexit wasn't the only issue.

Re: Has anyone used Giles Pike, Decimus design or Draw architects?

We used Giles Pike years ago when converting our attic.  He was very professional and we had no problems from Wandsworth Council.

Re: expensive present requests from family

Disappointing that Christmas (irrespective of your faith, if any) has become more about consumption than compassion.  I'm certainly not speaking from a 'high horse' as I'm as bad as anyone else on this front.  It's just that this post has highlighted this for me.  Definitely have a word with SIL and...

Re: The Jeremy Woods Memorial Fund at Clapham Common Tennis Courts

Hi there, I thought I would let you know where your kind donations were going to. So we raised £1505 which was amazing. Net of Just Giving's charges that comes to £1454.10. The bench has been ordered and paid for and came to a total of £615.50.  The payment for the tree came to £368.64. So the remai...

Merry Christmas to you and introducing the 2020 programme.

Hi there, Well the year is coming to close and an eventful one it's been too.  Starting the year with a broken shoulder blade and two ribs is not the best start for a sports coach!  Skiing passed me by last season and I didn't really start hitting a ball full gas until Easter. Despite that, the juni...

Re: How I’m voting to Labour to Remain in Battersea and why I’ve done a tactical vote swap to help the Lib Dems.

Ok so I'm an ABC voter (anyone but Corbyn - who is a brexiteer anyway).  Who do I vote for in Battersea to avoid a Labour MP?

Re: Man on Bus

Sorry to hear that, OP. Thinking about that, I wonder what the best response from another adult (beyond telling the man to back off and shut up) would be. You can't offer to walk the child home, that would come across as dodgy. Tell the child to call her mum, maybe offer your mobile to do it if she...
