Are our children going backwards in sports?

Interesting study from Australia on the impact of screen time and lack of free time on children’s physical skills. It does support my own observations and thoughts through teaching sports. https://thewest.com.au/news/health/screen-time-blamed-for-kids-leap-backwards-in-jumping-and-movement-skills-ng...

Re: Wash Doctors Closing Down

I honestly believe that the effects of a generation of austerity economics have reached high enough up the economic scale to have some serious consequences to many businesses. Ask yourself, when was the last time you received a pay rise % that exceeded all the basic costs around you?   Eventually th...

I think the really cold snap is over now thanksfully.  Get your sporty ones out and playing during the upcoming Half Term with our Sports Camp.  Our LTA approved after school programme is starting after half term too.  Look forward to your bookings.

Thanks as always,

Nitrous Oxide abuse and petty crime at Clapham Common

Recently there has been a lot of petty crime at the tennis courts, pavilion and cafe.  Mainly broken windows and graffiti but also attempted break in's to the pavilion and cafe.  Whenever the damage occurs there is always the remnants of N2O abuse.  The pavilion and cafe have become an evening meeti...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

Jack Wills has gone into the night. No sign on door just very empty shop. Again I’d have thought this area was the ideal target market but guess I was wrong.

Re: In-laws voted leave. They've removed my children's freedom of movement and I can't cope with seeing them any longer.

I'm afraid that you have been obsessed with this.  Politicising your children at such an age, when by your own admission, they are too young to grasp the complexities and at the same time eviscerating your in-laws for excercising their democratic right to vote.  As a couple of other posters have sug...

Get over it.  You are obviously passionate about it but hey ho you know what?  It's a First World problem.  There was an anniversary yesterday of real intolerance, real hatred with real victims.  Brexit is a bump in the road.

Re: Range Rover Sport Stolen Ellerton Road Friday 11th Jan Keys Not Stolen Method Unknown

@Denwand  I'm even more cynical to be honest.  I see most of the developments as methods to charge more (for little benefit), and tie you into the manufacturer and their dealers for servicing.  We are in an age of "computer says no" when it comes to servicing.  Hardly any of the dealerships have mec...

Re: Range Rover Sport Stolen Ellerton Road Friday 11th Jan Keys Not Stolen Method Unknown

As for steering locks, they are a deterrent only from a time point of view.  As previously posted by another member on a similar post, a thief with a hand held angle grinder will get through them in a couple of minutes.  It's the time and noise which acts as a deterrent not that they're impossible t...
