Re: I need a birthday cake made this week!

Try Etoile Bakery (based in Battersea) Holly makes absolutely fantastic cakes; she made a cartoon character birthday cake for my daughter's second birthday party in the summer which not only looked amazing, but tasted out of this world. It was the highlight of the party! http://etoilebakery.co.uk/

Re: why is it so hard to get a chinese toddler playgroup goi

Hi Shiro I would be very interested. I live in Wandsworth (close to Wandsworth Town station) and I have a 21 month old daughter. I speak to her in cantonese at home (as that is my native tongue) but sadly my mandarin is too basic/poor to be of much use. I would be keen to join your playgroup if you ...

Also, my daughter might well be too young for the activities, given what you say. Never mind! I will keep my eye out for any future threads...

Re: why is it so hard to get a chinese toddler playgroup goi

My daughter is 18 months and I would love to find a local mandarin playgroup for her. We are currently going to a Mandarin singalong in Wimbledon every Saturday...

Re: Boiler packed up this morning - brrrrr

You have my sympathies. Our boiler packed up last Monday night and I had to wear my entire wardrobe to bed! We used my sister-in-law's neighbour in Tooting who happens to be a boiler specialist. Thank god really as none of the people available on my home insurance could come out in less than 2 days!...
