Hi mums and dads D7BCF2B1-FC29-4E94-AE9A-B9D7DE2DB946.jpeg ! I usually teach Swing Dance classes on Wednesday evenings at the Lantern Arts Centre in Raynes Park. However, in my humble opinion, the people who need to dance the most are stay at home parents like me, but they can't afford babysitters! ...

Re: Tips for a new working mom

When I was back to work I invested in a slow cooker - pop a few things in the pot the night before and place in the fridge. In the morning, turn on the slow cooker and you will have a hot meal when you get home! I also used the timer on my oven- I put a chicken in there and then the oven would switc...

Re: Baby left in car with engine running?

I agree with petal. Calling the police on a fellow mum for an unharmed child was clearly ridiculous. She could’ve spoken to the mum instead of wasting time and creating drama.. and wasting taxpayers’ money. Of course if wasn’t right but please, what kind of judgmental and mean person are you? Let it...

Re: Baby left in car with engine running?

Would you have felt the same if the baby was left in a locked car with the engine turned off? Would you have felt the same way if someone left for their baby in a car seat in a house and left the room for 9 minutes (and went and cooked dinner?) Just asking to ascertain why you were so enraged. You c...

Travelling from Gatwick with micro scooter

Hi fellow parents, we are headed to Ireland for Christmas and my 2 yo son is bored of the pram and super talented at scooting. Have any of you managed to take a scooter on as carry on luggage? My scooter is old and doesn’t fold in half or come apart easily.

Re: Making a Ring! Looking for ring/diamond shops in London and Brighton

Exactly. Go to Hatton gardens and get a diamond, and then make a setting. Never get a ring that is just displayed in a shop. Never go to tiffanys. The best part of buying a diamond is that you get to look at all the diamonds in their velvet pouches and use the magnifying glass in your eye and act li...

Re: Lake District recommendations

Having said that I'm not sure I'd have taken my kids there when they were very small. It's such an outdoorsy place, and the scenery is so beautiful, but that's really lost on young children. North Wales might be a better bet - still beautiful scenery but with the added bonus of castles to explore, ...

Lake District recommendations

Hi lovely mums. I'm planning to head to the Lake District for Easter with friends. We will be two couples - one pregnant, and 1.5,2 and 4 year olds

Where should we stay? Are there any connecting cottages that we could rent for a week? What do we do with small children?

Re: My mother cut my daughters hair without my permission

I hate it when parents do this. They do something wrong and then make it all about themselves and their hurt feelings when you understandably retaliate. Grrr!! That said, please don't let it escalate into a family feud!! At the best - say 'I'm sorry this happened but you must respect my boundaries. ...
