Re: Nicest roads BTC/Nightingale?

I live on Wandle which is a beautiful road and very friendly . Broderick has become a cut through sadly but Hendham is also nice . Dalebury and Crockerton Rds have fabulous houses but look less well maintained . I know all the areas you are looking at having lived here for 30 odd years . They are al...

Re: What DO we want on Northcote Road???

Couldn’t agree more but given that the only viable shops over the last 13 months are those that can do take out food and drink ,not sure what can be done . I’m still waiting for a really good Deli like Ottolenghi .

Re: being lobbied very hard to get dog, what is a good first family dog?

Please think about a pure poodle . They are wonderful . I really don’t understand all theses poodle crosses - you spend a huge amount of money for what is not much of anything . Poodles are fabulous .

Re: Options for husband and sex

I was in a sexless marriage for 10 years out of the 25 years we were married . I thought the same as you . Then I found out my husband was a pathological liar and forged my name on a mortgage and pawned my jewellery to cover up financial wrong doings . I divorced him immediately. It was tough for my...

Re: called out by school mum for not consulting on birthday gift

You didn’t state the price of the bracelet so it’s a little difficult to know if this is wild extravagance or just cheap parents .I have bought silver Tiffany necklaces in the past for around £300 which amongst 6 girls is £50 each . Pricey but not outrageous and thoughtful for a 16th- more than most...

Re: artificial vs real grass

Lily I’ve been trying to post a picture of my garden with the artificial grass but I can’t - message me if you want to see it . It is full of bees and butterflies - grass doesn’t attract them flowers do . As for snail - no thanks but I still get them - too many . My artificial grass cost 50-% more t...

Re: artificial vs real grass

I had real grass in my old garden which was large - I love gardening so I didn’t mind the upkeep which is more than mowing twice a week . To keep a lawn looking good you need to feed it , weed it , aerate it once a year and scour it with a rake to keep the dead grass out - it’s hard work . If this i...

Re: Divorce / family Lawyer

It is really hard to answer this because frankly the type of lawyer you hire will depend on the specifics . I needed a very good , senior lawyer as I was the breadwinner and my husband was trying to seek half my assets whilst he had stolen from me ( unknown) for 27 years . He employed a real pit bul...

Re: Husband doesn't want us to tell the children that he has lost his job

Frankly I think your husband has the call on this especially in the beginning . It may not take long for him to find a job and therefore nothing needs to be said . If it goes on for months and months then perhaps review the situation . Just be glad he told you . My husband never could which led to v...

Re: What’s the property market like in SW11 now?

I hear everything you said but there is still no rationale to this market . I sold a double fronted house on Crockerton Rd in 2018 - it was in decent condition , had all the features - just needed new kitchen and updating If that and could be done over time . The price reflected that . A few months ...

Re: Any Broomwood Hall parents out there? I need your help.

My daughter went to Broomwood Hall a long time ago . We are not religious And never had her baptised . We had absolutely no problem nor did she ever feel like an outsider . I don’t think it has changed since she attended
