Re: Adjacent to a Council owned property

Trust me . It will have an effect . The estate agent won’t tell you but when I came to sell it all came out . The amount of times I was told that people did not want to spend a certain amount and live on a road where there were council properties that were not maintained so despite loving the house ...

Re: Adjacent to a Council owned property

For the people who think this is about snobbery grow up ! I lived on Crockerton Rd for 25 years which has a few council flats on it and I can say that it definitely did effect the value of the houses on the road as well as even more the ones that were next door .

Re: Trinity Fields Fireworks

So not true ! The schools pay a huge amount for Fireworks so they should be able to sell or give tickets to their students . There are plenty of ways of seeing the fireworks without standing on the field . You may be aware ms sourpuss that there is a common 3 get away and plenty of pavement

Re: Neighbour throwing chocolates over the fence for dog to find

You were very lucky then because my dog did the same thing and almost died . Frankly I don’t think it’s a waste of police time - you pay taxes so you have the right to use public services . However I think that softer tactics should be used first . Can you buy perhaps a muzzle would that work ? But ...

Re: Trinity Fields Fireworks

If you do not have a child at those schools I don’t think you will gain entrance but don’t despair the restaurants across from the fields have wonderful views . Pizza Express is full usually - the one and only night of the year .

Re: Cavapoo Wanted

With all due respect , that is complete nonsense. In fact on the common I have met more nervous poodle crosses than I can shake a stick at.

Re: Review: Lunch at Upstairs at Trinity

Seriously don’t get this place .been a few times and whilst the food is ok the service was awful . Last time we went , after we ordered coffee , the waitress came over 5 minutes later and told us that since the next diners had arrived we could no longer have it since they needed the table back . I a...

Re: Cavapoo Wanted

As an owner of a proper poodle why buy a poodle cross? Poodles are wonderful dogs . Have you thought of a parti poodle ? What is it with Wandsworth and poodle crosses?

Re: Removal Company to Avoid (like the plague) BRISK REMOVALS

Sounds awful but frankly I was amazed at the cheapness of the move . Whilst I don’t know how big your house was , less than £3000 to move sounds outrageously cheap. I moved from a big 3000 ft house last year and paid over £8000. I think you get what you pay for . Sorry.

Re: Disastrous change to Wandsworth Planning

I am cheering this having seen how most of you are ruining once beautiful Victorian homes with giant kitchen halls that have absolutely no context with the rest of the house. I only wish this would have happened before the fools who bought my house were granted permission

Re: Elderly father to move in?

My 80 year old American Father moved in from the US when my mother died many years ago . I had a full time Managing Director role at a City bank as well as a 6 year old daughter to take care of. So I also had a lot on my plate although I did have a full time live in Nanny . I have to say that my dau...

Re: Husband's financial deceit means son now can't go to private school

You have had good advice about your son but didn’t mention details of your husband’s deceitfulness . A very big word of advice . My husband did the same thing when we were first married . I forgave him but it only became worse . He ended up forging my name on a second mortgage and pawning my jewelry...

Re: Looking for a good joiner to do a front door

You mean you don’t fancy paying £6000 for a front door ? We also approached Ayrton who quoted close to £8000! I ended up having my builder do it for around £3000- doors aren’t cheap . Ironically they are installing it this minute. When it is finished and if I’m happy with it I can ask if he would be...

Re: Left out of a girls holiday to Ibiza

What a F**kwit of a response . I wouldn’t want a friend that insensitive and selfish - nor spend time with her . She sounds like the woman I encountered at Broomwood - never worked , always complaineing about her husband and basically a bore. Think of it as a lucky escape
