Re: Acupuncture for Migraines - does it work?

Thirty years ago l had the most horrific migraines. Traditional medicines (prescription drugs) were doing nothing. I could not drive, walking was hazardous etc and l was getting desperate.  A neighbour heard about it on the grapevine and knocked on my door. The lady was "special, different, alt...

Re: Rough sleepers hub and hostel opposite Battersea Arts Centre, Lavender Hill

I just knew before l opened the thread that it would be a stream of NIMBYism. I was not surprised.

Respect to St Mungo's for all they do.

Re: Delivery drivers outside McDonalds and urinating in Waitrose car park

@readystopcook I knew l would not need to be online too long on a Monday morning for a piece of casual racism. Watched a fascinating film last night...Loving (2016) l suggest that you don't watch it. You won't enjoy it. The override? Pales into insignificance compared with 20%+ children living in po...

Re: Hair for cancer patients

Thanks. Fbay. Yes, they were the people l am looking to support. I see many ladies with long hair. Do you really pay £80/£100 for a hair "cut?" I asked at one in Hounslow at the weekend but I am deaf and was struggling and they didn't seem keen to even understand. After three years it seem...

Hair for cancer patients

Does anyone know (or preferably is) a hairdresser who will cut my hair for children with leukemia? l have been growing my hair for three years and I am told it is now a useful length. I did it because l had a SCA and seemed like a little "thanks" to those on the coalface of the NHS. Happy ...

Re: Husband first class, wife economy, really!

As it is in the Heil, l am not going to read it.

l can visualise it now and it was clearly Corbyn's fault. There will be some casual racism and sexism thrown in.

Re: cleaner refuses to wear mask

Agree 100% I have been in hospital 16 months and feel incredibly grateful. On Friday (with the full approval of the hospital) l went on an interview. I felt reasonably confident as they sent a bundle of emails stating l would have to wear a mask, that my Covid status would be checked at entry etc. I...

Re: HERMES I am fed up!!!

Hi Ex courier driver for Hermes (and others) I am not trying to defend the indefensible but just adding a couple of points 1) The drivers often do not know of an alternative address. You tell company A "Please deliver to #47". If that is not printed on the label neither Hermes nor the driv...

Re: Part-Time Freelance Marketing and Communications role at Paul's Cancer Support Centre

Thanks for posting and l will be applying.

The role is absolutely up my street, the hours are ideal and the cause is very close to my heart.

The only comment is that the closing date is a long way hence. In this gig economy, 7 day leads are very normal.

I wish you every success in your search.
