Re: SATS

Many of the private primaries/preps don't do them at all and I'm sure it won't be too long now before they're abandoned altogether. To be honest, though, even if you choose a state primary I really don't think SATS mean that much anymore - so many children have 'off-days' that they become meaningles...

Re: list of nurseries

We used Red Balloon - it is quite a formal nursery, probably more in line with the traditional private schools if you're thinking of sending your children there :D

Re: Jo Partridge on Bellevue Road

Thanks - that's brilliant. I probably shouldn't be having my hair done at all right now  but my husband's firm is having a big do so I want to make sure I don't have any roots showing! :P

Santa's Grotto in SW London

Can anyone recommend a Santa's grotto? I want to take my youngest (three and four). I know the big department stores usually have Santas but I can't face going to the West End, so South West would be good! :)

Fencing clubs

My daughter (age 11) is desperate to start fencing. She goes to a state primary so they don't do it there. Does anyone know of any clubs in the area? :)

Jo Partridge on Bellevue Road

I need my highlights doing for Christmas and my old salon has closed down. What does anyone think about Jo Partridge on Bellevue Road? Which stylist is best? :?
