Hey! I am a Bolingbroke parent and have seen your question this morning and and I copying a response from last year on here that a friend who has got a child with SEN at the school gave me (she doesn’t have a NVN account) so see her response below:
My view is that some children struggle, others thrive. The issue is that every child is so unique, as is their particular combination of needs, that it’s impossible to get a full picture from others’ experiences. Bad news travels far more easily than good, so there are of course plenty of stories of kids for whom the school wasn’t right. But there are also a great many kids who have received excellent support and have absolutely flourished. The only real way to tell is to get in touch with the SEN department, perhaps with your EHCP in hand, and ask them how they would assist with each of your child’s particular needs. Get a feel for the team and the environment - only you can tell how your child would or wouldn’t settle.
