Re: After school child care

Hi there Your post rang a bell with me as I have been contemplating looking for work of this nature.  I am not a nanny, but a freelance writer and producer, mother of two grown-ups, an experienced tutor and a very enthusiastic cook. I generally do all of my work in the mornings, and it has occurred ...

Re: 3yrs old Autism - help/advice

ABA saved our son.  He started showing symptoms at three and a half, and quickly regressed from normal development to non communication and troubling behaviours.  We put a massively intensive programme in place - 6 hours a day, 6 days a week - for three years until he was able to attend a special ne...

Re: Marriage counselling in Wimbledon

Pam Custers is a wonderful relationship therapist in Wimbledon, but I don't know if she
does evening sessions.  Might be worth getting in touch - www.pamcusters.co.uk

Best of luck

Re: Can you recommend your hairdresser?

I thoroughly recommend Chetna at Aglaea on Lavender Hill.  She is a superb colourist and gives a excellent haircut too in very relaxed and friendly surroundings.

Re: Northcote summer fete in doubt

What a shame. Such a disappointment for the stallholders and Northcote Road traders. We need community cohesion now more than ever. I'm sure Jonathan has left no stone unturned in trying to make this work, but so many people in this community could afford to make a contribution towards this.

Re: Husband has no friends - help

This is an unusually honest and terribly sad thread. There's a lot of lonely people out there, and London is pretty damn cruel. We're all so busy being busy and pretending that life is fabulous, but you can find yourself very isolated, particularly if you have no family nearby. I see more of my frie...

Free table tennis table

I have a slightly battered full-size table tennis table which is available for free to anyone who will collect it from Stormont Road. Still functional but in need of a new net and a general buffing-up.

Re: Grumpy Rude Teenager ... Advice please!

Won't pretend to be an expert, but having survived two teenagers - one now 22, the other 18 - and unleashed them on the world without hospitalisation or incarceration, I can only offer a few thoughts. I think the "all or nothing" approach is dangerous. 14/15 is a terribly difficult time fo...

Re: Biscuiteers Icing Cafe coming to the Northcote Road

Very proud to be Battersea, and love the fact that Bellevue Road is Battersea according to this map. Sure beats Tooting! *ducks for cover*

Re: Restaurants

Still absolutely love Osteria Antica Bologna on Northcote after 20 or more years of going there. The Bellevue Rendezvous around the corner from Bellevue Road is a gem - genuine French and another one to give Chez B a run for its money. Can't wait to try Sinabro!
